Miss Mamie's Cupcakes, Cakes, and Such

About Miss Mamie

Miss MamieOk, so here’s the story…

With a name like Mamie Jo you would think I would be a southern girl born in the 40′s right? Wrong. Actually I’m a small town Michigan girl born in 1987 with a love for sweets, tea parties, and southern hospitality. At Alma College I studied Art and Design. I especially love to paint. I mustered up the courage to move to Marietta in January 2009 and am now a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Atlanta. After completing my internship I bought a bakery and “voila!” Miss Mamie’s was born. Only it wasn’t quite that simple and I couldn’t have done it without my parents John and Betsy Doyle…along with a good number of my other family members (thanks guys!) Mom and Pops spent the first couple of months painting, building, and sewing my dream into a reality before they bid me adieu, packed up shop, and headed back to the great white north. So next time you’re strolling through the Marietta square stop in and admire their handiwork while enjoying a hot cup of coffee and a treat. After all, who doesn’t love a cupcake?!
